A guided walk from Euston to the Postal Museum

Discover postal history on this entertaining walk, examining the use of mail coaches, the rise of the penny post, and the links between the development of the railway system and the postal service. By 1914 the Post Office was the largest employer in the UK, with its network of post offices and post boxes. Find out how postal history was changed in the 20thc with the growth of telephones and finally the internet.  Meet at Euston Station, outside The Euston Tap which is located in the Pavilion facing the Euston Road. 

The walk ends at the Postal Museum by 13:00, where visitors can explore its exhibitions, cafe and ride on Mail Rail (this needs to be booked in advance)
