Come on a virtual walk with me and hear about some women who helped shape British medicine

About this Event

Walk runs from 18:00-19:00 on Sunday 7th February.

This is a virtual walk , it will be hosted by zoom, I will send you the link once you have registered. All proceeds go to British Red Cross, because my daughter is a Humanitarian Aid worker for the International Red Cross .

Spanning 150 years, learn about some of the pioneers who became England’s first: female doctor, Chief surgeon and commanding officer of the Endell Street Military hospital, the London Women’s Medical School Dean and a military surgeon. Our one walk starts on the steps of St Pancras New church (by statues with ‘tummy tucks’!) and explores Fitzrovia, an area with stunning Victorian and modern buildings dedicated to medical practice.

We will finish in Fitzroy Square.

Along the way we’ll share the stories of women who with fortitude, determination and compassion overcame countless hurdles to become ground-breaking medical professionals.

What better way to while away an hour in lockdown!
