Paula is a born and bred Londoner, growing up in The East End, where she attended her local Comprehensive school.
The day after her 16th birthday she began a 10 year career in the Civil Service, working in the City of London for what was then the Government department of HM Customs & Excise.
For almost the last 20 years she has been one of London’s iconic Taxi, or Black Cab drivers, as they are also known, passing “the knowledge “ of London exams in early 2001.
As well as holding a Camden tour guides badge, she also holds a Cab guide badge, issued by the Worshipful Company of Hackney Carriage Drivers and does lots of tours of London and beyond in her Taxi.
She is also a driver/guide and member of blacktaxitourlondon.com, one of the Capitals premier Taxi Tour companies.
Although she has clocked up plenty of miles driving a cab Paula also loves being outdoors, leading walks in all parts of the Borough of Camden including Hampstead & Highgate, Camden Town, Kings Cross, Bloomsbury and Fitzrovia.
