I’ve been a Camden Tour Guide for a year but I’ve been a Londoner all my life and so enjoy showing people around my home town.
When I undertook the Camden course in 2021/22 I had worked in Camden for 10 years and thought I knew the borough pretty well but that was nothing compared with the layers of knowledge and history uncovered in that year. The course also gave me the tools to put across that information which I have put to use on over 20 tours to date catering for over 200 people in groups as small as 2, on a private tour, to groups as large as 25. I’ve delivered walks for the Bloomsbury Festival and the London Festival of Architecture and given my time to “Meet the Guides”, London Local Guiding Day and the charity North London Cares.
