Qualified Camden (2023) and Islington (2019) Guide

I specialise in guided history walks in local neighbourhoods in London, in areas bordering but outside the original old City of London. These border areas developed both to serve the walled City and as overflow as the population grew, and as adjacent satellite villages that were eventually absorbed into the metropolis. All are rich in their own history and tales. My walks explore local neighbourhood histories, the lives of those who made their homes and worked here, and how these areas developed and related to the capital of England.

Walks are mostly in the London boroughs of Camden, Islington and Hackney. These include: Holborn, Bloomsbury, Kings Cross, Camden Town, Pentonville, Clerkenwell, Finsbury, Shoreditch, Hoxton, Haggerston, De Beauvoir, Newington Green, Highbury, Canonbury, Barnsbury and the Angel.
