Fabian’s twin passions are music and architecture. He is a seasoned tour guide, having devised and led many walks for the Victorian Society and the Twentieth Century Society. He lives in a modernist flat in Camden which he opens every year for Open House London, treating over 1500 people so far to an enthralling tour of his brutalist underground carparks. (He can make any building interesting!) A composer by training, he studied with Olivier Messiaen at the Paris Conservatoire and Alexander Goehr at Leeds University. He also teaches the piano.

Some of Fabian’s tours in Camden are:
* Four fabulous churches in Gospel Oak
* The Northern Heights: Archway, Highgate and Dartmouth Park
* Camden Town to Great Portland Street looking at Victorian buildings
* The most expensive council housing in the world: the best of Camden’s 1970s estates
* Havens for Hoodlums?: Post-war housing in Gospel Oak and Dartmouth Park
* Hitler’s Bloomsbury
* Railway and canal history of Camden Town (for year 7 children)
