About Camden Tour Guides Association
Camden Tour Guides’ Association (CTGA) is a non profit making member organisation of qualified guides who research, develop and conduct walking tours and lectures on all things Camden!
Camden is one of the most interesting of the London Boroughs. All our guides have studied Guiding Skills and the area, and passed theory and practical examinations. Walks are entertaining, but guides understand the history and culture in each of the areas we cover, and are skilled in interpreting the buildings and telling the stories of the people who lived and worked in Camden.
We cover all areas of the Borough of Camden including Camden Town, Primrose Hill, Holborn, Fitzrovia, Kentish Town, Kings Cross, Highgate, Gospel Oak, Bloomsbury, St. Pancras, West Hampstead, St. Giles, Belsize Park, and Hampstead.
We can also offer guides with specialised knowledge of many topics including Health, Education, Art, Literature, Law, Politics, Social Housing, Industry & Transport, Faith & Religion and Entertainment.
Charity Activities
Since its inception the CTGA has annually supported the Camden Mayor’s charity. With fund raising walks we have raised hundreds of pounds for the following charities:
- 2014/5 The Three Faiths Forum (engendering greater understanding between Jews Christians and Muslims) for Cllr Lazzaro Pietragnoli.
- 2015/16 Kids (supporting families with disabled children) for Cllr Larraine Revah
- 2016/17 Anna Freud Foundation (supporting young people with mental health issues) for Cllr Nadia Shah.
- 2017/18 4CWS (Camden Churches Community Cold Weather Night Shelters for rough sleepers) for Cllr Richard Cotton.
